We
are pleased to introduce two new therapist at the Centre.
Stephanie
Satriawan
practices Aromatherapy Massage
and Indian Head Massage
on Fridays 2.30 pm - 7.30pm.
Peter
Joseph
practices Shiatsu and Seated
Shiatsu Massage on Tuesdays 9am - 2pm.
Aromatherapy
is the therapeutic use of concentrated plant essences.
Each essential oil has distinct therapeutic properties
that can improve the body’s natural functioning.
Combining the benefits of essential oils together with
relaxing massage produces a pleasurable yet effective
method of healing
Indian Head Massage is not just
confined to the head area. It includes other parts of
the body which are vulnerable to stress such as the
upper back, arms, shoulders and face. There is an integral
relationship between the head, neck and shoulders and
the potential benefits of Indian Head Massage are widespread.
After a treatment a head massage has the effect of a
massage of the entire body since the head is the centre
of the nervous system.
A reviving massage using ancient Ayurvedic techniques,
this massage balances the body and mind, creating a
wonderful sense of well being and renewed energy.
Shiatsu,
a Japanese therapy, is a form of healing closely related
to acupuncture. Instead of needles, the practitioner
applies pressure with hands, elbows, knees and feet.
Maintaining health & preventing stress... Shiatsu not
only relieves specific complaints, but also helps to
maintain over-all health, bringing relaxation and a
feeling of well-being.
Seated
Chair Shiatsu are shorter ½ hour treatments,
particularly to overcome stress and upper-body tension.
Very good for lunch time breaks and busy office workers.
