Aromatherapy
What
is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is a relaxing massage using essential oils (from plants,
trees, flowers, leaves, fruit, sap, seeds, berries, bark and wood)
diluted in a carrier oil. Using a specific blend of essential oils,
based on the needs of the client, the aroma influences the mood.
The massage will relax and comfort, whilst the oils
take their effect on the system balancing physically,
mentally, and emotionally.
What can Aromatherapy Treat?
Nervous tension, stress related conditions, insomnia,
depression, anxiety, headaches, migraine, menopausal
problems, PMT, muscular aches and pains.
Aromatherapy massage is a detox process- a client will
feel some benefit from the first treatment. The results
are more pronounced and effective if a course of treatment
is taken.
What to expect from a session
New clients will have a 15 minute consultation to determine
whether they have any medical conditions which are contraindicated
to aromatherapy and sign a consent form.
Then with oils chosen to suit the client, and the client's
approval of "aroma blend", the massage
is commenced.
Full aromatherapy massage includes back, legs (front and back), arms
(including hands), abdomen and face.
