Baby Massage

What is Baby Massage?

It is one to one - treating specific ailments including sleeping problems, colic and digestive problems etc.
Massage ensures a level of relaxation that means both physically and emotionally your baby is “trauma free”. As well as maintaining a good posture, infant massage acts on both muscles and joints to help your baby achieve full flexibility as they prepare for mobility.
Babies can suffer from the stresses and strains of everyday life as well as adults. There are a lot of common problems that infants can suffer from that can be improved with massage. Sleeping problems are one of the most treated conditions in babies, these problems can be caused by a secondary problem such as stomach upset, growing pains or stress.

Massage is medicine, it is immediate and both preventative and curative it can be used to alleviate minor ailments and bring comfort and relief especially to children with special needs.

What to expect at a massage session
A full consultation will be given at the first appointment. Depending on treatment need baby may be partially undressed. It is best to try to arrange a session between feeds.
