Facial Reflexology

What is Facial Reflexology?

TThis form of massage is based on the ancient art of Oriental pressure therapy and zone therapy, and is a form of reflexology. This massage deals with the principle that there are reflex areas that correspond to the glands, organs and systems of the body and uses a unique method of touch on these relexes with the fingers and thumbs.
Zone therapy takes into account the theory that the body has connection pathways or channels where the energy (chi) flow in lines in the body to supply all the organs, tissues and the mind, linking them together. Excessive stress disrupts this balance so that the body systems are affected in different ways and to varying degrees.

What to expect at a massage session

A firm massage on the reflex points will help to free deposits enabling energy to flow freely again through the body. This also helps to stimulate muscles and tissues allowing adequate supply of blood, oxygen and protein to reach the face. Treatment includes face cleanse and lymphatic drainage massage with oil.
