Personal Profile

Gabriella Agular

I am a graduated of the Shiatsu College Brighton where I have trained for 3 years following studies of TCM Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zen Shiatsu and Five Elements Theory. I am a Registered Member of the Shiatsu Society (MRSS)

My encounter with Shiatsu has been a blissful discovery of mid age and has helped me tremendously towards changes in life style, health and emotions.

Practicing Shiatsu offers me an ongoing exciting opportunity for professional and personal development and a most rewarding, satisfying life experience.

I am grateful to my teachers and mentors who have inspired me in this journey and particularly Sonia Moriceau at the Orchard with whom I have studied and explored the potential of Healing Shiatsu touch.

I enjoy bringing Shiatsu within the community and I have worked along several projects aimed at supporting individuals amongst the more vulnerable social groups.
This has been gained me a valuable clinical experience especially in the field of mental health. Currently I am volunteering with HIV clients and their families
I have also assisted on the professional training course at the Shiatsu College Brighton for the past two years.

I run a private practice in Brighton and also offer treatments at the Anahata Clinic, Kemp Town in Brighton and here at the CCHC in Cambridge.

Indian Head Massage

This relaxing, holistic, soul enhancing therapy is now an addition to my Shiatsu practice.
If your time is tight and you don’t want to receive on the floor you have a wonderful opportunity to pamper yourself and ease symptoms such as headaches, shoulder/neck tension, insomnia, eyestrain, sinusitis and many more stress related issues!

Dis-ease occurs when we are under pressure and rushing around our daily lives.
Sometimes we just feel under the weather, sometimes we feel overwhelmed by work and family and we need to recharge the batteries, sometimes life simply gets tougher
as we go through unsettling events or losses.

IF YOU ARE DISTRESSED BY ANYTHING EXTERNAL, THE PAIN IS NOT DUE TO THE THING ITSELF BUT TO YOUR ESTIMATE OF IT” (Marcus Aurelius)

An Indian Head Massage session will restore homeostasis which means physical, mental and emotional balance within ourselves.

I have tried it many times myself, felt an enthusiasm for it and thought it would really complement my deep interest in Shiatsu.

Since I became involved with Shiatsu in the past 5/6 years after my life experience as a mother and school teacher I have never stopped evolving and deepening my belief that touch therapy is one of the most effective forms of healing.

I am constantly exploring various forms of body work and have encountered meditation which anchors me to my own centre and supports the sessions with my clients.
In the journey towards self awareness and self development I have learnt that “taking charge of our health” is the most important gift to ourselves and in turn others.
My treatments will also bring an opportunity to discuss issues of diet, exercise, lifestyle in general and therefore make positive changes.

With Indian Head Massage I aim to offer a quiet unwinding time and a chance to recover energy, calm , well being.

Most of my receivers have experienced after the sessions

Relief from headaches
Better sleep quality
Increased energy
An overall good feeling
A clearer mind
