The Benefits of Massage
Reduces Stress. Improves motivation and positive thinking. Enhances production. Reduces tension and pain. Lowers blood pressure. Help to reduce painful headaches and migraines. Increase energy levels to improve productivity, and many ailments...

For many years I have always been intrigued in natural healing and therapy health care as a whole, taking the opportunity to visit workshops and have treatments whenever possible, knowing that the air we breathe, the food we eat, our exercise patterns, relaxation, and, above all our emotional or mental disposition, are all essential factors which need to be taken into account for total well being.

The past eight years have taught me a lot about life in general. I lived in the States for the past eight years teaching dance and graphic design. The college I worked for teaching graphic design had lots of responsibilities and the staff was under lots of pressure, frustrated and stressed leaving no time for life at all. I decided that this is not the way I want to live the rest of my life, as stress is a killer. One of my colleagues decided that once a month we needed to do something for ourselves so we decided to have treatments at the Omaha School of Massage Therapy. After having the treatments and getting more involved in natural therapy I decided that I would like to help other by becoming a therapist. I understand what it is like to be stressed and exhausted and I don’t like to see others in this situation. So by educating others with the importance of massage, and the effects that massage has on the body and mind will help improve their lives and hopefully make a difference to their fitness and stress factors.

After returning to the UK I decided to look into college courses so I could train and become a qualified therapist. I believe that in today’s society natural healing is on the rise. Today’s world has many diseases due to our lifestyles; I believe that assessing the overall health of a person, both physically and mentally is preventable to stop the problem occurring in the first place. It is too easy to reach for a bottle of pills when something goes wrong. In the East many people have acupuncture, herbal remedies, practice tai chi to promote good health but not so much in the Western World. From my perspective of natural therapy treatments, a wholesome diet, fresh air, sufficient exercise, together with a sense of emotional security, satisfaction, are all factors that can help to preserve a sense of well being allowing greater resistance to disease in general.

Take Control, your health, and your life…
