Thai
Massage
What
is Thai Massage?
Traditional Thai Massage is a relaxing but energising
treat, dealing with muscular problems and enhancing
flexibility. It involves firm pressing (with palms,
thumbs, elbows, knees and feet) and gentle but purposeful
stretching of muscles. The treatment can be softer or
deeper depending on client's preference.
Using Thai Massage
- Relieves
symptoms of arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis by gently improving
mobility of joints
-
Relieves stress, relaxing and energising at the
same time
- Restores
muscle balance, stops degeneration of muscles and preserves good
muscle tone
- Deals
with stiffness and loss of flexibility
What
to expect from a session
At the first appointment a medical
health history will be taken. During the massage the client will
remain fully clothed but may need to remove socks.
No oils are used throughout the treatment. The traditional
2-hour sequence involves lying comfortably on the back,
sides, front and sitting. TROUSERS MUST BE WORN AND
LOOSE COMFORTABLE CLOTHING.
